Last chance for Cell C AfricanX Trailrun pre-race tips
“Let Nature Give You A Run For Your Money”
The third and final Cell C AfricanX Training Run will start
at 07:00 at Pipe Track (Cape Town) this coming Saturday, 21 January 2017.
According to Dawid Visser, ASICS FrontRunner, Pipe Track
will expose runners to more technical terrain.
“Pipe Track and the contour on the front face of the mountain are a bit
more rocky and uneven. This will give
runners a true reflection of what to expect from parts of the AfricanX
route. This training run route will
include flowing, rocky trails with spectacular scenery of Cape Town and Camps
Bay. At our previous training run we
were asked questions pertaining to nutrition, training and gear. These topics can be discussed with any of our
ASICS FrontRunners on Saturday.”
“Remember to bring water and/or a hydration drink, food
(gels/bars) and sunscreen,” continues Visser.
“This is the ideal time to test your gear for race day. Load your hydration pack and test any and all
new gear.”
