This #Weekend in Cape Town
Century City Night market with ‘The Porchlights’
Where:
Century City Natural Goods Market - Intaka Island, Park Road, Century City,
7441 Cape Town, Western Cap
When:
Friday July 28th at 4 PM - 9 PM
This month we
welcome back ‘The Porchlights’ a small acoustic combo, all roots, wood and
wire, who hang out in that neck of the woods where country’s darker soul
crosses paths with the blues and folk music.
The name’s
inspired by a line from Tom Waits: “How do the angels get to sleep when the
devil keeps the porchlight on?”
Some of Cape
Town’s hottest foodies, artisans and musicians will once again cosy up under
the Bedouin tents erected by ‘Dimension tents’ at Intaka Island this Friday 28
July, for another magical Century City Night Market.
Visitors to
the Night Market will be welcomed with crackling fires, warm scents, draft
beer, bubbles, cider, red wine, gluhwein and live music while they explore
their way through a feast of lots of delicious comfort food by Cape Town’s
hottest food vendors.
So why don’t
you pop in after work and enjoy a glass of bubbles or draft beer and grab a
bite to eat.
The market
will run from 16h00 – 21h00.
Location:
Intaka Island Eco-Centre, Park Lane in Century City. There is ample and secure
parking.
Directions:
If you are coming from Cape Town along the N1, take the Sable road turn off; at
the top of the off ramp turn left. Follow the road around the bend into Ratanga
Rd. Follow Ratanga Road and at the third set of robots, turn right into Century
Boulevard. Go over one speed bump, and you will come to a circle, go around the
circle, and exit it right (3 o'clock) into Century Way (follow Intaka Island
signs). Once in Century Way take your first left into Park Lane.
