We'll make a few fires to keep you warm before the run. There will be coffee on sale and ege and bacon rolls after the run. Great vibes and awesome trails! ABRU Craft beer and Lourensford wines for sale as well!

>5KM Fun run [NOT TIMED]. R50.00 pre entries. R70.00 late entries.

>10KM – R 100.00pp for pre entries. R120 for late entries

>16km – R150.00 for pre entries. R170 for late entries

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TRAIL RUNS DO NOT HAVE MANNED WATER POINTS ON ROUTE. YOU MUST CARRY YOUR OWN HYDRATION PACKS / WATER BOTTLES OR SELF HELP AT THE UNMANNED WATER POINT. THIS WATER POINT WILL NOT BE SUFFICIENT FOR SOME RUNNERS TO SUSTAIN – PLEASE LEARN THE ETHOS OF REAL TRAIL RUNNING – CARRY WATER/BE SELF SUFFICIENT/CARRY A CELL PHONE/CARRY A RAIN JACKET IN CASE OF ADVERSE WEATHER.

PLEASE consider PRE ENTERING as it saves you money and saves you having to spend time standing in a queue on the day AND if you PRE ENTER, you stand a chance to win a pair of Rudy Project Eyewear to the value of R2,000. We've handed out 10 pairs already to lucky entrants:-)

REGISTRATION:

PRE ENTRIES

Sign in and receive your race number at the registration table at the venue. The race number must be written on your forearm/hand please.

Registration opens at 7h00 and closes at 08h00.

LATE ENTRIES

Late-on-the-day entries opens at 07h00 and closes at 08h00

Run briefing – 08h20 for ALL distances.

Lucky draws/spot prizes and medal prize giving: between 10h30and 11h00 latest

PRIZES:

All prizes will be treated as “spot” prizes. You have to be present at prize giving if you want to be a contender. Medals for podium finishers.

Instead of handing out medals or bracelets, we donate the money to the Somerset West Animal Welfare Society and/or the Township Animal rescue in Kayelitsha instead of handing out the bracelets we used to have at the finish line.

RACE RULES:

- This is a "trail run" - not a walking/hiking event [except the 3km] although we do understand that some of the hills are walking and not running:-) If you want to "hike", rather enter one of the walking/hiking events at other times at the Estate.

- Any abusive language/rude behaviour is banned. Runners guilty of this will be disqualified and banned from future runs.

- Carry your own hydration, sufficient to sustain you for the duration of the run.

- Carry a cellular phone with the race organiser's number saved on it - for emergency purposes only. 0826583078 - Ugene Nel

- No smoking at the race venue or on route.

- No spectators allowed on route.

- Runners may not interfere with the timing crew at the finish line during the event. The results will be posted on the web site.

- Don’t litter.

- Pets are not allowed for these runs - sorry:-( There are dog walking events at Lourensford on a monthly basis that you can enter.
