Garden Route to benefit from unique new luxury accommodation
Cape Town, 10 February 2017: With the addition of a new luxurious apartment for travellers,
tastefully decorated to meet the standards of the most discerning tourist, the
ever-popular Garden Route region is well placed to cater to the luxury travel
market. The 5-star apartment is located in the Protea Hotel by Marriott® Mossel
Bay.
According to Ronel Theron, the hotel’s GM, “This area is increasingly popular
among both the international and the domestic tourist market, and the need for
quality accommodation is growing. It was with this in mind that we
decided to refurbish the hotel’s self-catering apartment with a view to
providing a top-notch offering in the luxury segment.”
The apartment has two bedrooms and a living area. In
addition to its premier position with stunning sea views over both the bay and
the majestic Outeniqua Mountains, the focus of the refurbishment has been on
providing the best of everything. “The fully fitted kitchen, for
instance, is equipped with Miele appliances,” Theron explains, “and we have
installed a state-of-the-art Bose sound system.”
With a private entrance and exclusive parking bay, the
apartment offers the traveller significant seclusion. But, being located
within the hotel itself, guests can also enjoy the many facilities available at
the hotel. The swimming pool is adjacent to the apartment allowing for easy
access to both the pool and Blue Oyster Cocktail bar where guests can enjoy an
aperitif before dinner.
While the apartment is self-catering, dinner can also
be enjoyed at the popular Café Gannet Seafood Restaurant, or an in-room private
dinner may be arranged in the suite on request.
“The apartment is perfect for honeymooners, who will
no doubt appreciate having their own entrance,” says Theron. “But it’s also a
great option for the holiday-maker looking for spacious, beautifully furnished
accommodation with great views.”
Just a 20-minute drive from the George Airport, the
hotel is centrally situated within the Dias Museum Complex, in easy walking
distance to the harbour at Santos Beach.
