40 Fingers celebrate the 40th birthday of the Oude Libertas Theatre`s Steinway piano. This special concert grand was selected by the world renowned pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy for the theatre in 1977 and has just been restored. Making up the 40 fingers are the 8 talented hands of pianists Charl du Plessis, Pieter Grobler, Elna van der Merwe and Albie van Schalkwyk. They will perform never before heard arrangements of exciting music ranging from Baroque to Boogie and Beethoven to Billie Joel. This will be a piano birthday celebration you`ll never forget!

40 Vingers herdenk die 40ste verjaarsdag van die Oude Libertasteater se Steinway vleuelklavier. Hierdie klavier is in 1977 deur die wereldberoemde Russiese pianis Vladimir Ashkenazy uitgesoek vir die teater en is pas gerestoureer. Die 8 talentvolle hande van Charl du Plessis, Pieter Grobler, Elna van der Merwe en Albie van Schalkwyk speel opwindende klaviermusiek van Barok tot Boogie en Beethoven tot Billie Joel. Die musiek word spesiaal verwerk vir hierdie verjaarsdagkonsert wat beloof om `n verjaardag viering van die jaar te wees!


40 Finger: Mit diesem Konzert feiert Oude Libertas den 40sten Geburtstag des Theaters und auch von dem Steinway Konzertflugel. 4 ausgezeichnete Pianisten Charl du Plessis, Pieter Grobler, Elna van der Merwe und Albie van Schalkwyk spielen die bezauberende Musik von Barok bis zum Boogie und Beethoven bis zum Billie Joel. 40 Finger spielen genau so fantastisch wie Vladimir Ashkenazy vor 40 Jahren zur eroffnung des Theaters.
