The Saturday Market @ Vergenoegd

What makes the Market @ Vergenoegd unique is our close proximity to the N2 and being the 1st (or last) stop on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, making us a very favourable venue due to ease of access. Our open stretch of land allows for ample parking and the market site ideal for the whole family to relax and enjoy a whole day with us.

Alongside the market we have other exciting events! Saturday mornings will kick off at 08h00 with the Vergenoegd Family Breakfast Run (or walk). A light bite will be available to order after the run whilst relaxing and enjoying the Duck Parade at 10h00.
In addition, our 1000 strong flock of Runner Ducks have become somewhat of a Stellenbosch Wine Route “must see” – gaining global popularity amongst both our local and international visitors owing to their online and broadcast boom. 

Our feathery friends form part of our workforce here at Vergenoegd and after their morning parade they head off into the vineyards to eat bugs and pests, massively reducing our requirements for pesticides.
Since our change of ownership in 2015, Vergenoegd Wine Estate has seen a revival of the estate and the grand old Manor House. We also introduced unique experiences at the farm to offer entertainment for the whole family which has been a massive success.
